Save the Red Men Cemetery!
The Red Men Cemetery at the top of Eureka in Central City is being decimated by overuse, with vandalism and damage to stones and greenery - The Historical Advisory Preservation Commission, in partnership with the Cities of Black Hawk and Central and the County of Gilpin, will be leading a community effort on JUNE 26th from 9 am until the job is done to get this area spruced up and protected. Our community will gather there for a bit of food and then aim to replace the old fences and install signage about the area’s history.
