Cora Meneceur - Rotary Rail and Water TourA little message from Cora Meneceur of the Rotary Rail and Water Tour:

My experience with Rotary and Intelligentsia International

“At the age of 21, I left the Parisian suburbs and came to Florida to work with a Rotary International water projects committee, and to learn about U.S. non-profit organizations as part of my 6-month Masters Degree internship with Intelligentsia International. But it ended up being much more than this. Here, I discovered a real team committed to promote access to drinkable water throughout the world.

June 07, 2010 By: P2PAdmin Category: Events, P2P Lunch, Service Projects, Speakers

Cora Meneceur gave an OUTSTANDING presentation on global water projects on behalf of the District 6960 (Florida) Water Projects Committee. We learned how water projects are funded and by whom, and how the work gets done. We owe a great debt to Cora and the District 6960 WP committee for bringing this informative presentation to us. And special thanks to the Moore’s and Linda Jones for helping to make her visit comfortable and fun. Thanks to everyone for this great program!! The Gilpin County Citizens Initiative seeks to promote and encourage fire prevention through sound forest management practices. They work hand in hand with forest management agencies to help provide direction and resources to residents who want to steward our beautfiul landscape. This is a good opportunity to get some solid information on what you can do to keep, think or otherwise be a good steward to your own little patch of forest.

P2P Rotarians Taking Charge on Children’s Issues Worldwide

March 05, 2010 By: FireEater Category: Area Fund Raisers, Service Projects, Speakers

Our club knows a good thing when they see it. Caryn West and her family have dedicated themselves, in the face of much adversity, to seeing their project through to its success, and we were impressed. So much so that we have stepped up as a club to support her vision for a better world for children, for a beautiful expression of hope, for an project that aims to inspire people to action on children’s issues worldwide.

And simply for creating a great project that exemplifies the spirit of Rotary, and including Rotary in her pursuit of positive change, which is very smart. Caryn knows a good thing when she sees it, too.
